Kingshot – Beginners Guide (Maps & FAQ)

Welcome to KingShot, a city-building war strategy game similar to Whiteout Survival. The key to success? Efficiency and consistency – don’t waste resources!
New Players Guide
Getting Started (First 24 Hours)
Your top priority is to follow the chapter missions and complete them as fast as possible. But here are some extra tips to speed up your progress:
- Upgrade your Town Center ASAP – it unlocks new buildings and troops.
- Train troops non-stop – never let your Training Camps sit idle.
- Join an active alliance – you get protection, buffs, and help for buildings & research.
- Do Intel Missions & Suppress battles – they give you hero shards.
- Don’t waste time gathering yet – early missions give tons of resources, so wait until Day 2 or 3 to start gathering.
- Save your Recruitment Hero Keys until you have 10 – using the 10x option gives you a better chance to get full heroes, even Mythic ones, instead of just shards.
Should I Attack Someone Early Game?
(First 30 Days)
Most of the time, the answer will be no. Why is the answer no? Well, I am glad you asked.
- In the early game, most people do not hold onto resources since upgrading buildings, tech, or training more troops is very quick to do. So, you will not be able to plunder many resources.
- Troops are expensive to retrain. If you are attacking someone’s castle, resource tile, or anything else, your troops will be lost. There is no way to get them back; you will have to train them all over again. Training troops takes a long time and does not yield many troops in a day.
- Attacking Beasts or Terrors will give you more resources in the early game. The same can be said for gathering.
Should I Attack Them If:
- They have a lot of resources? No, they are most likely an experienced player or a “whale” (a term for a player who spends a significant amount of money in the game). They will absolutely defeat you. The chances of an inexperienced player simply leaving all their resources unprotected are very slim.
- What if they have a low troop count? Low troop counts usually mean they have already been plundered, which means you gain nothing but lost troops.
- Should I attack resource tiles or alliance banners? You gain absolutely no strategic advantage from this, but you do gain more resources than from attacking castles with low troop counts. The small extra thing you gain is something called ENEMIES who will want to destroy you.
When will the answer be yes?
Very good question. The only reason the answer will ever be yes is if the game rewards killing troops (i.e., during events like “All Out” or Server vs. Server (Kingdom vs. Kingdom).
Kill count leaderboard. If you are attacking troops outside of these events just to increase your kill count, then the leaderboard has plenty of players who prioritize this. They essentially rank the player who is making the biggest mistake, because you gain nothing strategically from having a high kill count outside of specific events. Have fun and play smart.
Second Character (Farm)
How to farm with a F2P second account?
Once you have set up a second account using the option:
- Profile -> Settings -> Characters
Work your way through the starter missions until you can join an alliance (or your alliance farm).
Now comes the easy steps:
- Don’t stop making troops until you can fill all your farming rallies.
- Remember you can only loot from your main what you gather farming or raided from another player only.
- Try not upgrade your storehouse if you can, will help you later.
- Work your way to level 13 for the 3rd free gathering rally on the research center (it might take a while but is so worth it).
- Don’t be afraid to spend gems you have earned this character isn’t for saving them.
- Upgrading regimental expansion on research center will help you gather more resources.
- When raiding your farm send out all troops first to a farming location, you may need to send more than the recommendation to empty the farm.
- Optional , if you upgrade all your houses and fill your mines (ie Quarry) this will get you 100 gems a day if you need to put out the fires.
- Don’t forget to repair the barricade if it gets to zero or probably will randomly teleport your farm.
- Move your farm close by your main base for easy hitting (also the best farm tiles are close by level6,7,8).
- After you have raided yourself you can use the merchant to get rid of the locked resources.
- If you start an upgrade and cancel it (click on upgrade, details cancel) the resources used is lootable.
Following these simple steps, you should be able to have 3 or 4 gathering rallies running 3 times a day collecting 6-18 million food, wood, coal of iron.
Govenor Gear
Govenor Gear is unlocked at Town Center Lv. 22. Each piece of gear increases your attack and defense stats:
- Wreath & Charmstone: Cavalry
- Garb & Gaiters: Infantry
- Lament & Shortstaff: Archers.
You will also receive bonuses for having 3 pieces and six pieces at or above a given quality. At this time, gold 3* is the highest gear level possible but I expect this to change to gold T6 3* relatively soon as those levels are listed for points in out 2nd Hall of Govenors.

Batch Healing Technique
Heal Your Troops Faster with Batch Healing!
In the game KingShot, your units take damage during fights at locations such as Sanctuaries, Fortresses, the King’s Castle, and Kingdom vs Kingdom events. When this occurs, you should restore their health quickly.
Instead of restoring the health of all damaged units at the same time, consider restoring the health of smaller groups of units. This allows you to use instant-heal actions more frequently with assistance from your alliance.
How to Use:
Your alliance members can help speed up your troop healing time. To make the most of this, you should only heal as many troops as your alliance can instantly help with.
Finding Your Ideal Batch Size:
- Check your Embassy building to see your “Timer Help Duration & Helps” numbers
- Start by trying to heal troops that take about 1 hour to recover
- If you have an active alliance with many online members, you might be able to handle 2-3 hour batches
Example:
- If you have a level 28 Embassy, you get 39 Timer Helps
- Each help reduces healing time by 4 minutes and 1 second
- This gives you a total possible reduction of 2 hours and 36 minutes
- So keep each healing batch under 2 hours and 36 minutes for instant healing
Try different batch sizes to find what works best with your specific alliance activity level.

FAQ
How to find your construction speed boost?
Click on your power and scroll to the bottom.

What is Double Time?
Double Time is a decree increasing construction speed by 20%. It can be found in your Court of Justice and should be enabled for all major builds.

The attack time is 3 times? What does that mean?
This is the screen for applying to the sanctuary. Three different alliances each select a time slot, and the time slot chosen by the majority becomes the final decision. The sanctuary will open at that decided time. The final time will be announced at 0 UTC.

What is the advantage of upgrading low-tier troops to higher tier instead of training new ones?
You can upgrade more troops in a batch than you can just by training them. For me, for example, I can upgrade a little more than 600 troops, but I can only train a bit more than 500 troops at a time.
How to deal with Bear Trap?
- When starting a rally, use your three strongest heroes.
- When joining rallies, use Chenko as your lead hero. If joining multiple rallies, send no heroes to the others if you don’t need them to increase troop capacity (Chenko and Amadeus are the only attack rally joiners at this time).
- Chenko is used because she increases lethality, which is the most important stat for the bear trap.
- If you can fill all marches, prioritize Marksmen, then Lancers, then Infantry, as Marksmen have the highest lethality. Send 100% Marksmen for all marches if possible.
