Erenshor – Beginners Tips (+ Maps)

Tips for New Players
Ву Brumdail.
Here’s a list of handy tips to guide you on your adventure.
- Hail everyone! If you’ve read the tutorial pop-ups or the Player Guide, you know you can left-click on a friendly NPC to target them. Press ‘H’ to greet them. Some NPCs will have green text in their dialogue – you can click these words in the chatbox to progress the conversation (or type them manually). Remember, you must have the NPC targeted to chat!
- Keep quest items – Even mundane items may be important for quests! Hold onto at least a few of each item. Some examples include: Aetheria, Bag of Faerie Dust, Graveweed Leaf, Ruby, Seaspice, Sivakayan Horn, Skeleton Eye, or treasure map pieces.
- Explore all the zone connections – Once you reach the mainland, explore the different zones thoroughly. There are many hidden exits and new places to discover. Use the map to guide your exploration and find exciting new zones for adventuring!
- Group up! And try other classes. Use the group builder window to recruit a balanced team: Arcanist, Duelist, Druid, and Paladin to utilize each class’s aura. Try playing each class for a few levels to see how they play. Bonus: all your characters share a bank for easy item transfers!
- Get to Port Azure (auction and hub) – Port Azure, on the eastern coast, is a bustling hub with vendors, sim players, and the auction house. Arrive early to access these resources! Visit your class’s section of the city for quests and gear – Druids in the outskirts, Arcanists by the Lighthouse, Paladins in the tower, and Duelists past the gallows.

- Do your class quest in Hidden Hills, then other classes’ quests – Hidden Hills has a quest for each class. Hail the merchant after browsing their wares to pick up the quest; it’s repeatable and rewards great gear and XP. Want extra rewards? Learn the keywords to do other classes’ quests, too! For example, say [task] to Ludo Luxo, [favor] to Alyssia Fearnon, [job] to Nylith Valorro, and [prove] to Benson Gamble.
- Get your ability books – As you level up, abilities may need to be found in distant zones or as dungeon drops. Check vendors in areas like the western Braxonian Desert and Loomingwood to get upgrades as soon as you’re able.
- Discover item effects – Inspect items for unique effects like normally unattainable spells, faster movement, or healing. For example, the Ring of Magic Bolt can be hot-keyed for Duelists or Paladins, Journeying Boots speed up movement, and the Bottomless Elixir provides early self-healing.
- Travel with Runes – Enemies may rarely drop Runes which allow you to teleport your group to distant locations. Use them to skip long runs or escape from tough dungeons. Pro tip: share items between characters via the bank to save time! The Rune of Ripper’s Keep is an easy quest reward if you can survive the run.
- Have fun your way – Erenshor offers many ways to customize your experience. Mods, like ErenshorQoL, and developer commands let you tweak the game to fit your style. Experiment and enjoy the adventure!
- How to Price and Profit – Making money in Erenshor starts with knowing how to use the auction house effectively. To sell your items, research current prices by comparing what similar players are offering. For best results, price your item slightly above competitors’ listings to maximize earnings while ensuring it sells. The Arcanist Cap has an Item Value of 255, sells to a vendor for 65% of that value (165.75 gold, which would likely round to 166 gold in-game), and has a maximum possible auction price of 1529 gold (calculated as 6 × Item Value – 1).
